About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Strategic Planning Officer to join our team at the Air National Guard Units. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing strategic plans that drive our success.

Job Summary

The Strategic Planning Officer will serve as the primary advisor to the Adjutant General and Chief of the Joint Staff for the formulation of strategic plans, policies, international affairs, joint training, and force development. This position is responsible for developing, managing, evaluating, and improving joint integration plans, joint training exercises, joint Professional Military Education, and action plans for approved joint strategies for the department.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serves as the primary staff director for developing, managing, evaluating, and improving joint integration plans, joint training exercises, joint Professional Military Education, and action plans for approved joint strategies for the department.
  • Provides direction and oversight of the planning for stationing and implementing approved joint force development, supporting operational planning, evaluating and disseminating joint doctrine, developing and managing education and professional development, training exercises, readiness, and assessment.
  • Coordinates joint exercises to facilitate joint and interagency operations, integrating of new systems and capabilities, and professional and technical training programs.
  • Responsible for developing, managing, evaluating, and improving the long-range force integration plan.
  • Analyzes information provided on conflicts identified, substantive changes and doctrinal issues, and the recommended courses of action.

Requirements and Qualifications

This position requires a minimum of 36 months experience analyzing problems, identifying significant factors, gathering pertinent data and recognizing solutions; preparing reports, plans, policies and various correspondence; evaluating objectives and develop plans to facilitate the availability and effective utilization of various resources.

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is $90,000 - $120,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
