About the Role

We are seeking an Office Associate II to join our team at the State of Maine, Bureau of Human Resources. As an Office Associate II, you will be responsible for performing complex office support tasks, working directly with customers, and administering licenses and registrations.

Job Responsibilities
  • Performing complex varied office support tasks
  • Working directly with customers in person, on the phone, through the internet, and by mail
  • Providing oral and written information explaining various licensing and registration requirements
  • Administering and issuing licenses, registrations, and miscellaneous licenses and permits
  • Processing and collecting payment for licenses and registrations
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have extensive experience in office and administrative support work that demonstrates:

  • Competency in applying a solid knowledge of modern office practices
  • The ability to use independent decision-making on the appropriate processes to follow, information to process, and actions to take
Preferred Qualifications

We prefer candidates with experience in cash handling and working with the public both in person and on the phone.
