About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team of experts in electric propulsion engineering. As an Electric Propulsion Engineer II, you'll be responsible for designing, analyzing, testing, and providing operational support for our spacecraft electric thrusters.

  • Design, analyze, test, and provide operational support for electric thrusters
  • Work closely with our manufacturing team to ensure efficient, reliable, high-rate production
  • Develop and execute qualification test plans to ensure readiness for flight
  • Balance rigor with risk tolerance to find the optimal solution for our electric propulsion systems

To be successful in this role, you'll need a Bachelor's degree in an aerospace, physics, mechanical or other engineering discipline and 2+ years of total experience in academic research focused on electric propulsion or professional experience designing, testing, and analyzing electric propulsion systems.

A Master's degree in an aerospace, mechanical or similar engineering discipline is preferred, as well as proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C/C++, and Matlab. The ability to work in a highly cross-functional role, prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment, and demonstrate self-motivation, organization, and attention to detail are also essential.

The estimated salary range for this role is between $115,000 and $135,000 per year, depending on your level of experience and qualifications. A 10% differential, up to an additional $15,000 annually, may be applicable for those with an active clearance.
