About The Job

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Special Events Coordinator to join our team at The Arc Ontario.

As a member of our development team, you will play a crucial role in planning, managing, and executing all agency special events.

Your primary responsibilities will include coordinating events from start to finish, maintaining fundraising financial records, and working with vendors, venues, and volunteers to ensure seamless execution.

You will also be responsible for developing new fundraising initiatives based on input from the Director and the Foundation Events Committee.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, manage, and execute all agency special events, including but not limited to the Spring Wine Mixer, Cruisin' for a Cause, Turkey Trot, and Holiday Gift Wrap Booth.
  • Develop and implement new fundraising initiatives based on input from the Director and the Foundation Events Committee.
  • Maintain and reconcile fundraising financial records, including input of all donations to appropriate accounts.
  • Work with vendors, venues, and volunteers to coordinate all aspects of special events.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree and one (1) year special events experience, or equivalent, with experience in PR/Fund Raising/volunteer environment preferred.
  • Must possess excellent administrative, verbal communication skills, organizational skills, computer skills, and the ability to work well with staff and the public.
