Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medication Technician to join our team at Garden Estates of Corpus Christi. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the well-being of our Assisted Living residents by providing support with self-administered medication.

Reporting to the Wellness Director, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising self-administered medication for Assisted Living residents, adhering to all Federal & State regulations and established guidelines.
  • Promptly reporting any changes in a resident's health status and maintaining accurate documentation for the Wellness Director.
  • Responding effectively to emergencies and collaborating closely with all departments and staff members.
  • Contributing to educational meetings for residents and staff as requested by your supervisor.
  • Understanding your role in our Safety & Disaster Plan and upholding strict confidentiality regarding resident information.
  • Actively participating in required training, in-service sessions, and staff meetings.
  • Creating a safe and positive work environment through accident prevention, equipment maintenance, and adherence to safe working practices.
  • Maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor towards residents, visitors, and colleagues.
  • Adhering to all policies and procedures established by Garden Estates of Corpus Christi.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Prior experience as a Home Health Aid, Personal Care Aid, or Private Caregiver is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Successful completion of medication training by an RN Delegator is essential.
  • Flexibility with scheduling and reliable transportation are crucial for this role.
