The Maintenance Operations Director is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance, repair, or replacement of dealership equipment to maximize production and support the company's policies, goals, and objectives. This role requires strong administrative and organizational skills to ensure seamless maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of maintenance staff, ensuring they are adequately trained and equipped to perform their jobs successfully.
- Conduct regular performance reviews to enhance competency, knowledge, and contribution to the department.
- Maintain accurate records of daily maintenance and service activities.
- Initiate and implement projects to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure the upkeep and maintenance of all areas of the complex.
- Ensure compliance with city, state, and federal regulations, as well as corporate policies and OSHA rules.
- Maintain safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Participate in quarterly safety meetings and provide input on issues as they arise.
- Inspect elevators, forklifts, fire extinguishers, car lifts, and other equipment requiring safety inspection.
- Maintain the aesthetic appeal of the facilities by repairing or replacing parts as needed.
- Communicate with the Management Team to coordinate maintenance and repair work, delegating tasks to the maintenance staff as necessary.
- Oversee construction planning and management.
- Establish personal performance goals aligned with company standards of productivity and develop strategies to meet those goals.
- Stay up-to-date on business terminology and technology changes.
- Understand and comply with federal, state, and local requirements governing the company's business.
- Adhere to attendance and punctuality standards, following timekeeping guidelines.
- Follow the Company Code of Business Ethics and Conduct.
- Understand and follow all work rules and procedures, as well as lawful directions from supervisors.
