Job Title: Software Engineer

Location: Remote

Duration: 6 Months

Job Summary:

SPECTRAFORCE is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing scalable, efficient, and secure software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement software solutions.
  • Participate in agile development and planning processes to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.
  • Write high-quality, maintainable code for RESTful services, event-driven systems, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Design and validate complex systems with upstream and downstream dependencies.
  • Mentor junior engineers and help them break down large designs into manageable work units.
  • Instrument code to create custom metrics, alerts, and dashboards.
  • Ensure adherence to engineering best practices across the entire solution.
  • Collaborate with other software engineers on design and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6+ years of professional experience in developing RESTful services and event-driven applications.
  • Solid foundation in software engineering practices, data modeling, object-oriented analysis and design, design patterns, and algorithms.
  • Experience with Go Lang, Java,.Net, or other object-oriented programming languages.
  • Experience with AWS services such as ECS, Fargate, Elastic Cache Redis, DynamoDB, Lambda, CloudFormation, etc.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Docker and open-source software development.
  • Familiarity with test automation and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with ops tools such as New Relic and Splunk.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Passion for new technologies, operational excellence, and customer impact.
