About the Role

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a skilled Ambulatory Psychotherapist to join our team. As a licensed independent practitioner, you will provide clinical mental health diagnoses and treatment plans for patients with a range of conditions, from adjustment disorders to serious chronic mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide independent ambulatory case management for patients
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, coordinating with other healthcare professionals as needed
  • Provide individual, group, family, and couples counseling, as well as crisis intervention
  • Coordinate higher levels of care for patients with severe mental health conditions or substance use disorders
  • Provide patient education and resources to support mental health needs
  • Document patient care thoroughly and accurately
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field
  • Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) or Licensed Independent Social Worker Supervisor (LISW-S) certification
  • Minimum three years' experience in a behavioral health setting
  • Strong critical thinking and communication skills
