M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a skilled and ambitious Electrical Trade Technician to join our team. As an Electrical Trade Technician, you will assist experienced Linemen with the construction, maintenance, and repairs on our electrical overhead and underground distribution and transmission system.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with performing the construction, maintenance, and repairs on the electrical overhead and underground distribution and transmission system.
- Learn and assist with operating, inspecting, and maintaining aerial devices, digger/derricks, excavation equipment, and other electric line related equipment.
- Learn and observe proper safety precautions, particularly when working on or near energized circuits and with hazardous chemicals.
- Dig pole and anchor holes.
- Load and unload, remove and install, and transport framing poles.
- Set transformers and pull underground primary and secondary conductors.
- Assist Linemen with performing distribution switching, documentation and mapping information, and perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to lift at least 100 pounds at one time and 60 pounds for an extended period of time.
- Ability to relocate a 12 foot stepladder without assistance.
- Ability to work at various heights up to 60 feet and climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks and all types of ladders.
- Good vision (may be corrected vision), the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English.
