Job Title: IMEI Lab Technician

The Southern Virginia Higher Education Center (SVHEC) is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of IMEI Lab Technician.

Job Summary:

The IMEI Lab Technician will assist the Craft Instructor with preparing participants to obtain industry-recognized certification(s) as a direct pathway to employment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Craft Instructor with facilitation/teaching Industrial Maintenance, Industrial Maintenance Electrical and Instrumentation (IMEI), and Electrical related to training modules under NCCER using simulations and scenarios to prepare individuals for industry-recognized certifications
  • Considerable work experience in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems
  • Proven ability to interpret and evaluate the theories of manufacturing
  • Knowledge of developing lesson plans and content delivery
  • Ability to utilize project management processes and techniques
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certifications in Industrial Maintenance, Industrial Maintenance Electrical and Instrumentation, or other related program certifications
