Patient Access Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Access Specialist to join our team at UCHealth Anschutz Outpatient Pavilion in Aurora. As a key member of our Urology Department, you will be responsible for registering patients for services, verifying insurance benefits, and ensuring accurate and timely entry of demographic and billing information into our registration system.
Key Responsibilities- Meet with patients and/or caregivers to exchange necessary information and documentation
- Communicate with referring providers, clinical departments, and other personnel to exchange information and determine schedules
- Verify insurance benefits and obtain pre-certification/authorization as necessary
- Determine and accept required payments, including co-pays and deductibles, or refer to financial counselors for follow-up
- Ensure accurate and timely entry of demographic, billing, and clinical information into the registration system
- Minimum Required Education: None required
- Required Licensure/Certification: Relevant life support certification as determined at position level
- Minimum Experience: None required
