Business Controller

SKF is a leading manufacturer of bearings and related products. We are seeking a highly skilled Business Controller to join our team in Falconer, NY.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with Factory Management to provide timely financial analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs) to maximize performance.
  • Identify and initiate actions to improve profitability and asset turns, personally executing appropriate ones.
  • Coordinate the annual planning and budgeting process to ensure development of realistic plans focused on continuous improvement and supported by action plans to assure successful achievement of planned results.
  • Ensure a thorough understanding of plan drivers and opportunities/risks to facilitate development of cogent contingency plans.
  • Continuously monitor variances, identify risks and opportunities, and initiate corrective actions.
  • Ensure that internal controls and procedures are adequate (no significant deficiencies) and comply with the requirements of SKF Internal Control policy.
  • Responsible for all Cost Accounting functions - establishing standard cost, variance analysis, and month-end closing.
  • Drive controlling within End-to-end transformation process including data collection, analytics, and presentation of data ensuring full value chain profitability.
  • Investment controlling, including strategy alignment analysis, and tracking of business benefits.
  • Factory Finance support for quoting new business, which may include preparation of cost estimates, analysis, and certifications in compliance with government CAS and FAR rules.
Requirements:
  • MBA or CPA/CMA preferred.
  • Strong business controlling background with accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of government laws and regulations related to the development and negotiation of cost proposals - Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR); Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
  • Excellent MS Office skills and a solid understanding of ERP systems.
  • Experience with financial consolidation systems such as SAP BPC or Hyperion.
  • Preferred experience with data analytics and digital tools such as Power BI.
