Position Overview:
The Fire Safety Systems Project Leader will be responsible for the design, coordination, and management of fire sprinkler systems across various building types, including commercial, industrial, and residential structures. This role involves utilizing advanced drawing and drafting skills to create detailed representations of sprinkler systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze construction contract documents and collaborate with subcontractors and general contractors to gather necessary design information.
- Employ analytical thinking to assess construction feasibility and system capabilities.
- Design and coordinate fire sprinkler systems using industry-standard software such as AutoSPRINK, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Revit 3D.
- Prepare comprehensive material stock lists for project execution.
- Conduct hydraulic calculations as required.
- Mentor and train new designers and project managers.
- Develop initial project schedules and maintain historical design records for future reference.
- Foster positive relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction with our services.
- Collaborate with internal departments for seamless job information transfer.
- Oversee long-term project planning and scheduling.
- Monitor project compliance with safety, quality, productivity, and profitability standards.
- Manage field labor to optimize productivity and track project costs.
- Ensure staffing adequacy for each project and address any changes impacting cost or schedule.
- Prepare and verify project billings to maintain positive cash flow.
- Regularly review project progress against established schedules and budgets.
- Assist during field checks and forecast future manpower needs.
- Supervise subcontractor work to ensure compliance with codes and permits.
- Administer construction contracts and approve quality of work and payment requests.
- Report project status and necessary modifications to stakeholders.
- Recommend enhancements to project management practices and overall business operations.

Qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering (ME, EE, IE, CE) or Construction Management, or equivalent technical education is preferred.
- NICET certification Level III or IV or Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Fire Protection is advantageous.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, AutoSprink, HydraCAD, or similar fire sprinkler layout software.
- Extensive knowledge of construction processes.
- Proven track record of timely project delivery and meeting deadlines.
- Minimum of four years of experience in the construction industry, particularly in Fire Protection.
- Supervisory experience is a plus.
- Self-motivated with strong critical thinking and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Must pass a post-offer drug test, background check, and reference verification.
