We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physician Assistant to join our team on the Hospital Medicine Unit at Massachusetts General Hospital. As a PA on our team, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with attending hospitalists to provide high-quality patient care.
About the RoleThis is a 36 hour or 40 hour per week position, and you will have the flexibility to choose your schedule. The role will start as a day shift and then integrate into nights after the 1st year for new graduates and during the first year for experienced PAs.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care from admission to discharge
- Follow 6 patients on average, with one admission per day
- Collaborate with hospitalists, private physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to provide comprehensive care
- Respond to non-urgent and acute issues that arise in patients
- Work in a cross-coverage model for general inpatient medicine patients and subspecialty services
- Current Massachusetts State Licensure, with all associated active certifications as a Physician Assistant in good standing
- MCSR and DEA licenses
- Active ACLS/BLS certification as established by the American Heart Association
