Job Summary

The Registered Respiratory Therapist Learning and Development Coordinator is a key member of the respiratory therapy team at Johns Hopkins Medicine. This role requires a registered respiratory therapist with demonstrated clinical and management skills to maintain the highest standards of care, coordinate operations, and supervise personnel in the hospital.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain the highest standards of care and ensure quality, safe patient care
  • Coordinate operations and supervise personnel in the respiratory therapy department
  • Collaborate with physicians, shift directors, and admission resource managers to facilitate timely patient care
  • Ensure process improvement and service excellence initiatives are followed
  • Implement the vision, mission, philosophy, core values, evidence-based practice, and standards of the organization and respiratory therapy services within the hospital
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program
  • BS in respiratory therapy, management, or healthcare required
  • Minimum of three years experience in direct patient care
  • Previous experience in perinatal and adult critical care
  • Minimum of two years of demonstrated leadership experience required
