About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Public Policy and Advocacy to lead our efforts in shaping state policy initiatives and advancing community development. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to drive positive change.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute public policy strategies to advance community development goals
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to build coalitions and advocate for policy changes
  • Lead trainings and workshops to build capacity among local United Ways
  • Manage relationships with national advocacy partners and identify opportunities for collaboration
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform policy decisions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., public policy, social work, non-profit management)
  • At least 8-10 years of experience in public policy or a related field
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful policy campaigns
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
