OBJECTIVE

Acquire the essential knowledge and experience necessary for advancement into management or supervisory positions. Engage with team members and rotate through various departments to observe, learn, and perform tasks that enhance your understanding of industry practices and operational processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Observe and learn from assigned personnel to understand and execute designated tasks, becoming acquainted with company protocols.
  • Receive training and engage in activities across all operational sectors, including yard operations, millwork, production, dispatch/scheduling/delivery, safety, sales, finance, and human resources.
  • Contribute to the formulation of operational budgets and capital expenditure proposals to achieve financial and operational objectives.
  • Participate in and complete designated training programs.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

SUPERVISORY ROLE

This position does not entail supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

To excel in this role, candidates must be capable of fulfilling each essential duty effectively. The following qualifications are indicative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field;
  • Alternatively, a combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • This role is classified as entry-level operations management, with company-provided training.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Exceptional customer service abilities, both in-person and over the phone.
  • Prior sales experience is advantageous.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • Interpersonal skills, including tact and the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ERP systems.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Work is conducted at both company and client locations, necessitating travel to customer sites.
  • Exposure to both typical office settings and outdoor environments with varying temperatures and weather conditions, including walking on uneven terrain at potential customer construction sites.
  • Ability to lift and carry weights up to 25 pounds frequently, and occasionally up to 80 pounds.
  • May require performing specific tasks that involve climbing, lifting, pushing, or kneeling.
  • Noise levels are generally moderate.
