Job Title: Diagnostic Sonographer II Fetal Therapy

At Johns Hopkins Health System, we are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Sonographer II Fetal Therapy to join our team. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound and intervention procedures, including fetal therapy.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound and intervention procedures, including fetal therapy, under the supervision of a physician.
  • Assist in the training and supervision of ultrasound sonographers.
  • Participate in clinical research studies and educate medical staff on sonographic technology.
  • Generate patient reports, maintain sonographic equipment, and ensure patient privacy, safety, and comfort.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of an approved curriculum in diagnostic ultrasound.
  • Current and active registered diagnostic medical sonographer (RDMS) in obstetrics and fetal echocardiography.
  • Certified in first trimester screening with either the Fetal Medicine Foundation (FMF) or the Nuchal Translucency Quality Review (NTQR).
  • At least four (4) years of clinical experience in diagnostic obstetrical ultrasound.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Thorough knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology as related to obstetrical ultrasound.
  • Thorough knowledge of OB/GYN ultrasound protocols.
  • Thorough knowledge of the principles of first trimester screening, three-dimensional imaging, and obstetric Doppler studies, and the principles of fetal echocardiography.
  • Ability to provide ultrasound guidance for basic and advanced invasive procedures and demonstrate proficiency in three-dimensional imaging, obstetrical Doppler studies, and fetal echocardiography.
