Tandym Group is seeking a skilled Clinician II to work as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team providing mental health services to youth and families in upstate New York.

About the Opportunity

The selected individual will work collaboratively with a team to deliver high-quality mental health care to youth and families with serious mental health issues.

The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in community settings such as the youth's home and school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and diagnose children/youth and families using evidence-based practices
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized service plans
  • Provide individual and group therapy, including structured and process groups, within various settings based on client needs
  • Depending on level of experience, provide clinical consultation and training to staff
  • Serve as primary contact for service plans, expertly communicating at all levels both verbally and in writing
Requirements/Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling with a valid NYS Professional license
  • Minimum 3+ years of relevant clinical experience working with youth and families with mental health challenges
  • Experience with crisis diffusion and management
  • Experience with Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT Skills training (a plus but not required)
  • Thorough knowledge of services provided, well-developed advocacy skills, and understanding of payment processes for services
