Key Responsibilities

  • Work hours ranging from part-time to full-time.
  • Assist elderly clients or those recovering from medical procedures with personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, and eating.
  • Remind clients to take their prescribed medications and support them with mobility and physical therapy exercises.
  • Facilitate mobility within the home and during outings (e.g., doctor visits, walks).
  • Help plan and prepare nutritious meals.
  • Accompany clients for shopping or run errands on their behalf.
  • Provide local transportation for appointments and errands.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks.
  • Respond promptly and effectively in emergency situations.
  • Monitor and report any changes in clients' conditions or behaviors.

Qualifications

  • Availability to work every other weekend is required.
  • Enjoy working in a one-on-one environment and a desire to learn and grow.
  • Ability to fulfill all essential job functions with or without accommodations.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation with current insurance.
  • Capability to pass background checks as required.
  • Ability to complete an online competency assessment or hold current CNA certification.
  • Demonstrated compassion and supportiveness in interactions.
  • Willingness to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Previous experience in healthcare, hospitality, or home care settings is preferred but not mandatory (1 year of experience).
  • Commitment to maintaining health and safety standards.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience as a caregiver.
  • Take pride in delivering high-quality care.
