Speech Language Pathologist Job Summary

The Sandy Ridge Center for Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our interdisciplinary team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating residents with impaired ability to swallow or communicate due to disease process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate resident's functional needs and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Follow physician's orders and facility policies to evaluate and treat residents
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of communication and swallowing decline prevention policies and procedures
  • Perform diagnostic tests and evaluate resident's swallowing function
  • Provide treatment to help residents maintain or attain the highest level of communication and swallowing function possible
Requirements:
  • Current license as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of practice
  • Certificate of clinical competence in speech from the American Speech and Hearing Association
  • Solid computer skills and prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred
