Job Summary

Amergis is seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in a school setting. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing students' communication skills, developing treatment plans, and providing therapy services to students with communication disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Assess students' communication skills, including articulations, fluency, voice, expressive and receptive language, to identify communication disorders and develop recommendations for treatment.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to communicate information, resolve issues, and provide services in compliance with established guidelines.
  • Treatment Planning and Implementation: Develop treatment plans, interventions, and educational materials to minimize the adverse impact of communication disorders in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Therapy Services: Provide speech and language therapy to students to minimize the adverse impact of speech and language disorders on student success.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress, including progress reports, activity logs, and billing information.
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure: Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) licensure in the state of assignment required.
  • Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required by state/contract.
  • Professional Development: Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable.
  • Health and Safety: Current CPR certification, TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray, and current Health certificate required.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to effectively elicit and provide information to and from appropriate individuals, including supervisors, coworkers, and clients, via strong communication skills and proficiency in the English language.
  • Computer Proficiency: Proficiency in computer software and systems required.
