We are currently seeking a skilled Warehouse Associate for our shipping department. This role encompasses the responsibilities of a forklift operator, order picker, and inventory handler within a dynamic distribution environment, adhering to established warehouse protocols. The available schedule for this position is Monday to Friday during the day shift.

Position Overview:

The Warehouse Associate plays a crucial role in supporting the shipping department by facilitating the order picking, preparation, and dispatch of products efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Streamline the daily operations of the shipping and receiving team.
  • Safely navigate designated inventory aisles to optimize the picking process.
  • Handle item processing tasks, including unboxing, labeling, packaging, and palletizing.
  • Follow instructions from the warehouse supervisor regarding the movement of products and shipment preparation.
  • Implement strategies to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Utilize knowledge of industry policies and procedures to enhance workflow.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Process product returns, ensuring items are cleaned, tested, and re-packaged according to company standards.
  • Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counting.
  • Participate in inbound container receiving, unloading, and palletizing as per company guidelines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive understanding of relevant business practices and procedures.
  • Ability to apply standard theories and principles to propose effective solutions.
  • Experience in supervising processes, assigning tasks, and reviewing work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for day-to-day operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred industry certification.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Experience operating machinery such as forklifts and order pickers.

In this role, employees will frequently engage in physical activities, including lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds. Regular use of hands for handling and reaching is required.
