Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant II to join our Pediatric Associates team at WVU Medicine. As a Medical Assistant II, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for exams and procedures, obtaining vital signs and initial information.
  • Assist with and/or perform exams, tests, and procedures under the supervision of a licensed healthcare provider.
  • Schedule appointments and set up referral contacts as needed.
  • Assist with office administrative tasks, including answering phones, taking messages, and performing data entry.
  • Maintain quality control testing logs and ensure all medical equipment is in proper working condition.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program or one year of clinical experience.
  • Ability to obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of healthcare education coursework.
  • One year of healthcare experience.
Working Environment

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, working closely with others and adapting to changing situations. The physical demands of this role include exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and standing for extended periods.
