Role Summary:We are in search of a diligent Employee Benefits Specialist to enhance our expanding Benefits Team. This position plays a crucial role in overseeing employee benefit programs, ensuring efficient administration and adherence to compliance standards. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to become a subject matter expert in health and welfare benefits while delivering outstanding support to our workforce.
Key Responsibilities:- Facilitate benefits orientation sessions for new employees
- Confirm eligibility of dependents
- Manage issues related to interface files and suggest improvements
- Set up and conduct testing for Open Enrollment systems
- Perform audits following Open Enrollment
- Coordinate training sessions on HIPAA regulations
- Process invoices for the department
- Refine analytics methodologies
- Oversee premium collection processes
- Audit medical claims
- Address life events and insurance claims
- Act as the primary resource for employee benefits inquiries
- Communicate updates regarding benefit policies
- Implement monthly initiatives for tobacco cessation
- Distribute reminders for benefit enrollment
- Complete annual disclosures for CMS
- Assist with additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Benefits
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in benefits administration or a related field
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree is required
- Proficient in HRIS systems
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including skills in Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and formulas
