Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team at MPW Industrial Services. As a Material Handler, you will play a critical role in assisting the Environmental Project Supervisor in all efforts at the customer location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the proper handling and recycling of materials.
  • Operate forklifts, tuggers, and carts for the collection of trash and recycling.
  • Operate balers and foam densifiers.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with customers and employees.
  • Provide a safe work environment for all employees.
  • Maintain inspections and recordkeeping.
  • Assist and/or supervise team members as needed.
  • Complete special assignments effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Assist the Environmental Project Supervisor in coordinating supplier and customer facility visits and audits.
  • Assist the Environmental Project Supervisor in driving cost savings programs implemented throughout FEM to meet required budgeted targets.
  • Complete all required MPW (FEM) Human Resources and Health & Safety training, in addition to customer-specific required training.
  • Perform other duties as directed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred.
  • Some High School education acceptable.
  • Able to work safely and efficiently.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing/industrial environment preferred.
  • Professional oral and written interpersonal communications.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to move up to 50 Lbs., with or without accommodation.
  • Ability to maintain a consistent workload that involves physical manual labor.
  • Ability to maintain alertness and fitness for duty.
  • Ability to position oneself for work conducted in and around confined spaces.
  • Ability to wear respirators in environments that may expose you to chemicals, fumes, etc.
  • Ability to maintain workloads that may include travel to a variety of states for days or weeks, and daily timeframes that could exceed the typical 8-hour shift.
