Position Responsibilities

The Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe operation of various machinery and production processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality manufactured components. Key responsibilities include:

  • Setting up and operating different machines while adhering to production and quality standards.
  • Conducting minor adjustments and routine maintenance on equipment.
  • Participating in Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Training fellow associates in operational procedures.
  • Performing basic troubleshooting as needed.
  • Operating material handling equipment such as forklifts and trucks.
  • Working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Executing machine and production changeovers as required.
  • Inspecting products for quality and accuracy.
  • Transporting finished products to designated areas.
  • Updating work records accurately.
  • Following verbal instructions effectively.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in all manufacturing procedures post-training.
  • Assisting with various tasks across departments as necessary.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards.

  • Identifying and reporting workplace hazards to promote safety.
Qualifications
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to utilize measurement tools such as tape measures and calipers.
  • Capability to read and interpret assembly drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience operating various types of manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to communicate process improvements effectively.
  • Reliability in attendance and punctuality.
  • Understanding of basic lean principles, including 5S and Kanban.
  • Minimum education requirement: High school diploma or GED.
  • At least two years of experience operating specialized equipment or diverse machinery.
Physical Requirements

This position requires standing for extended periods and performing coordinated movements to handle and manipulate objects.
