Work Schedule: 1st Shift; Monday to Friday, 6 AM - 2:30 PM
Position ResponsibilitiesThe Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe operation of various machinery and production processes to ensure the production of high-quality manufactured components. Key responsibilities include:
- Setting up and operating machinery according to production and quality standards, inspecting materials for defects, and maintaining production supplies.
- Performing minor adjustments and routine maintenance on equipment.
- Engaging in Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Training fellow associates.
- Conducting basic troubleshooting.
- Operating material handling equipment such as forklifts and trucks.
- Working independently with minimal supervision.
- Executing machine and production changeovers as necessary.
- Ensuring product quality through thorough inspections.
- Transporting completed products to designated areas.
- Updating work records in accordance with established schedules.
- Following verbal instructions and demonstrating manufacturing procedures post-training.
- Assisting with various duties across departments as needed.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area following 5S principles.

- Identifying and reporting workplace hazards, participating in safety programs, and adhering to safety protocols.
- Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Ability to use measurement tools such as tape measures and calipers.
- Capability to read and interpret assembly drawings and blueprints.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Experience operating various types of manufacturing equipment.
- Attention to detail and teamwork skills.
- Ability to train others and make informed decisions.
- Understanding of basic lean principles.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of two years of experience operating specialized equipment or machinery.
This position requires standing for extended periods and performing coordinated movements with hands and fingers to manipulate objects.
