Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Graduation from a Medical Assistant or CNA program is highly preferred.
  • Experience in medical financial reimbursement, billing, and collections is essential.
  • Familiarity with CPT and ICD10 coding is required.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound judgments is necessary.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
  • Prior experience with PCs, scanning, faxing, and multi-line phone systems is required.
  • Capability to use medical equipment such as blood pressure monitors is necessary.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a medical office, particularly in patient access roles, performing medical billing/collections, or similar positions in a healthcare setting is required.
  • Preferred: At least two years of clinic coordinator or management experience in a medical facility.
  • CPR certification is required.
  • MA or CNA certification is highly preferred.
