Position Summary

The Service Technician role in the San Mateo/San Francisco area involves executing routine maintenance and managing inventory, including chemical deliveries, while actively promoting our chemical solutions to both new and existing clients.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine maintenance and oversee inventory management, including chemical deliveries to clients in the restaurant, hospitality, and healthcare industries.
  • Ensure a safe and hygienic working environment.
  • Handle invoicing and collections efficiently.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on commercial kitchen equipment, such as dish machines, chemical dispensers, and laundry systems.
  • Install commercial dish machines and chemical dispensing systems.
  • Respond promptly to emergency service requests.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Educate end-users on chemical systems and equipment usage.
  • Utilize hand and power tools regularly.
  • Drive safely to various customer locations.
  • Carry out minor plumbing repairs and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in areas such as construction, electrical work, plumbing, or preventative maintenance.
  • Experience in the commercial chemical sector, particularly with dish machines, warewashing, water treatment, or laundry systems, is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Availability for a flexible schedule, including on-call duties during evenings and weekends.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass background and motor vehicle record checks.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate self-motivation.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Proficient with technology, including smartphones and new software.
  • Fluency in English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands necessary to perform the essential functions of this role include:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent kneeling, standing, twisting, and bending.
  • Regular use of hand and power tools.
  • Capability to work with electrical and plumbing systems.
  • Ability to read schematics and adhere to safety protocols.

Travel Requirements

This position necessitates daily travel using a company vehicle, which includes provision for vehicle, gas, and maintenance for business purposes.
