Position Summary
The Campus Sanitation Specialist is responsible for overseeing all cleaning activities across designated campuses, guided by the Cleaning Manager. This role ensures that all communal areas are maintained in a clean and welcoming condition for staff and visitors alike. Key responsibilities include performing minor repairs, changing light bulbs, vacuuming, sweeping, scrubbing floors, sanitizing surfaces, and replenishing supplies such as toilet paper and paper towels. Additionally, this position may involve managing supply inventories, submitting purchase requests, and assisting with event preparations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation guidelines as per health regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness throughout the entire facility, including offices, sanctuaries, common areas, and outdoor spaces.
  • Follow safety protocols and contribute to business development initiatives related to cleaning operations.
  • Establish and enforce standard operating procedures for cleaning tasks.
  • Conduct quality inspections of cleaning products and services.
  • Utilize project management tools for staff cleaning requirements.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and submit requests for replenishment as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining records and schedules for facility upkeep.
  • Coordinate cleaning efforts for events and staff requests.
  • Provide resources and support for daily operations.
  • Supervise cleaning of facilities, ensuring all public and designated areas are regularly maintained.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure adequate stocking of necessary supplies.
  • Follow proper safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals.
  • Report minor repairs and restocking needs to the facilities team.
  • Support event cleanup efforts.
  • Develop and manage a dedicated cleaning team for regular assignments.
  • Engage with staff and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.

Work Environment
This position operates within a professional office setting, encompassing all aspects of the building and grounds.

Physical Requirements
This role is physically demanding, involving activities such as lifting, bending, pushing, mopping, and vacuuming. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Work Schedule
The expected work hours will total 40-45 hours per week, with some variability based on events.

Travel Requirements
Local travel between campuses may be necessary for this position.

Education and Experience
  • Intermediate level of experience in custodial work.
  • Prior custodial experience is preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
