UniFirst is in search of a dedicated and diligent Facility Maintenance Technician to contribute to our operational excellence.
As a key member of the Maintenance Department, your responsibilities will include ensuring the upkeep of our facility and equipment systems through various tasks such as basic maintenance, utility functions, and assisting with deliveries. You will also engage in painting, operating industrial machinery, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the plant.
Our standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, with opportunities for overtime during nights and weekends. We provide comprehensive on-the-job training to support your development.
Compensation & Benefits:

Your primary duties will involve:
- Utilizing various equipment for plant cleaning operations, including floor scrubbers and dust removal devices.
- Conducting painting tasks both inside the plant and on the facility grounds.
- Operating powered industrial forklifts and lifts to assist in material relocation.
- Supporting loading and unloading of deliveries.
- Engaging in production receiving activities.
- Performing maintenance tasks such as landscaping and snow removal.
- Carrying out light equipment maintenance, including cleaning and repairs after receiving appropriate training.
- Upon certification, operating company vehicles as needed.
- Completing additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
What We Are Looking For:
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is preferred.
- Candidates must be at least 21 years old.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in operating powered industrial equipment and basic hand tools is essential.
- Capability to read and interpret instructions in English.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues and supervisors.
- Willingness to work overtime as necessary.
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
