Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Housing Specialist to join our team at Strategies to Empower People Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing housing placement, support, and case management services to adults with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and support adults with I/DD to access affordable housing services
  • Maintain relationships with landlords, county and city entities, and community leaders to develop partnerships that benefit our clients
  • Teach clients to navigate payee systems, credit and financial systems, and oversee and maintain their own housing needs
  • Process and schedule residential repairs, accommodations for homes, and develop lasting relationships between residents and their landlords/renters
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of relatable, verifiable experience working with the I/DD population
  • High school graduate or possess a GED or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of experience accessing housing services and programs for individuals, preferably with the I/DD population
  • Current driver's license, insurance, and clean driving record
  • Adaptable computer skills and ability to use our agency database system
