Job Title: Customer Service Department Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer Service Department Supervisor to join our team at Harris Teeter. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising up to associates in the Customer Service Department and accounting office, and will assist the Department Manager with the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and train customer service associates, cashiers, and baggers in the Customer Service Department.
  • Assist the Department Manager with the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Customer Service Department and accounting office.
  • Perform floor monitor duties, including greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues.
  • Interview and train new hires, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Plan, assign, and direct work, and assist in appraising performance.
  • Reward and discipline associates as needed.
  • Address customer complaints and resolve problems.
  • Ensure that all items listed on the Customer Service Store Visit Audit and Loss Prevention Front End Audit are performed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • One to three years related experience and/or training.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and with distractions.
  • Ability to demonstrate patience when interacting with customer service associates and customers.
