Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Superintendent with a strong background in healthcare construction to lead our dynamic team. This role offers a unique opportunity to take charge of healthcare construction projects, including hospitals and behavioral health facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all phases of healthcare construction projects from initial planning to completion, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring that all tasks are performed safely and in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Review and understand project drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure successful project execution.
  • Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and problem resolution.
  • Implement and enforce site safety and risk management procedures to minimize hazards and ensure a safe work environment.
  • Manage onsite quality control, including conducting inspections and coordinating necessary corrective actions.
  • Prepare and submit project reports, and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Continuously monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to schedules, staffing, and resources as needed.
  • Resolve any issues or delays that may impact project completion.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry, with a focus on healthcare construction.
  • Extensive knowledge of healthcare construction practices, including experience with hospital and behavioral health projects.
  • A thorough understanding of OSHPD requirements and regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and coordinate diverse teams.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage, motivate, and direct a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Proficiency in construction software and technology.
  • A commitment to safety and quality, with a track record of maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
  • A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Certifications such as Certified Construction Manager (CCM), or Certified Professional Constructor (CPC) would be an added advantage.
