Key Responsibilities

Primary Objective: Conduct calibrations on measurement and testing equipment (M&TE) utilizing suitable reference standards across various measurement disciplines, including Physical (Mass, Temperature, Humidity, Pressure, Force, Torque, Vibration), Dimensional, and Electrical.

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement procedures for the calibration of M&TE, leveraging expertise in measurement science, mathematics, physics, and electronics.
  2. Perform calibrations following approved procedures, ensuring compliance with calibration standards.
  3. Verify the traceability of calibration for M&TE.
  4. Assess the suitability of measurement standards for M&TE calibration.
  5. Consider measurement uncertainty components effectively.
  6. Optimize time management to enhance productivity while adhering to labor standards and delivery timelines, all while maintaining high-quality benchmarks.
  7. Enhance technical knowledge and experience in calibration and metrology.

Utilize available resources to diagnose and resolve calibration issues.Implement corrective measures for identified calibration challenges.Exhibit strong critical thinking abilities.Quality Management
  1. Understand and apply Quality Management System (QMS) principles.
  2. Maintain accurate calibration records and process documentation.
  3. Utilize the Metrology database (MET/TEAM) effectively.
Technical Support
  1. Adapt equipment, measurement standards, and procedures for unique measurement tasks.
  2. Provide exceptional customer service regarding calibration and measurement inquiries.
Continuous Improvement
  1. Communicate process enhancement ideas effectively.
  2. Engage actively in continuous improvement initiatives.
Communication and Organization
  1. Demonstrate effective email communication and professional etiquette.
  2. Implement 5S lean principles to maintain orderly and efficient processes while minimizing safety risks.
  3. Keep management and team members updated on progress, challenges, and changes in processes.
  4. Communicate effectively regarding personal development, scheduling, quality, and team morale.
Additional Duties

Perform other responsibilities or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Experience in calibration (manufacturing calibration experience with devices under test (DUT) within specified measurement ranges).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ASQ Certified Calibration Technician (CCT).
  • Experience maintaining measurement uncertainty budgets and analyses.
  • Experience with Process Measurement Assurance Program (PMAP).
