Customer Service Specialist Job Description

At The Sherwin-Williams Company, we are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Customer Service Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, building strong relationships with wholesale and retail customers, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Determine customer needs and present appropriate products and services to meet those needs
  • Build trust relationships with wholesale and retail customers, driving sales growth and revenue
  • Process sales transactions accurately and consistently, adhering to company policies and procedures
  • Meet and exceed sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date work order files and formulas
  • Pull and stock products from the sales floor or warehouse, ensuring efficient inventory management
  • Tint and mix products to customer specifications, maintaining high-quality standards
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized store environment, including equipment and displays
  • Load and unload delivery trucks, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of products
  • Assist in making deliveries, as needed, to meet customer needs
  • Maintain in-stock and presentable condition assigned areas, ensuring a positive customer experience
  • Remain knowledgeable on products offered, discussing available options and features with customers
  • Comply with inventory control procedures, ensuring accurate and efficient inventory management
  • Suggest ways to improve sales and customer satisfaction, driving business growth and revenue
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
  • Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English
  • Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish
  • Must be able to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks, lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion
  • Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Have a valid, unrestricted Driver's License
  • Have at least a High School diploma or GED
  • Have at least one (1) year experience working in a delivery, retail, or customer service position
  • Have previous work experience selling paint and paint-related products
  • Have previous work experience operating tinting and mixing equipment
