How Is This Role Important to Our Work?The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Director plays a critical role in our organization's success. The ERM Director is responsible for the leadership, innovation, and strategic development of the corporate Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) process to identify, evaluate, and monitor the organization's risks. This role supports the execution and further development of the organization's ERM program and provides key information to executive leadership and the Audit Committee/Board of Trustees to support their oversight of the enterprise risk management process.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and coordinate the enterprise-wide risk management framework and process for the organization.
- Lead and coordinate the annual processes to support the organization's Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA).
- Collaborate with management in developing mitigation plans to manage high-priority risks and establish, communicate, and enforce the organization's risk appetite statements.
- Guide and assist executive leadership in the identification, evaluation, understanding, management, and communication of significant business risks.
- Clearly present and explain complex information in both verbal and written form to diverse audiences, including executive-level leadership and the Audit Committee.
- Establish and maintain key relationships throughout the organization to obtain information needed to perform duties and provide audit and risk-related recommendations and corrective action plans.
- 8+ years of related professional experience, with 3+ years of management experience, project lead, or team lead experience.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA), or related designation.
- Experience in enterprise risk management, audit, project management, or related experience, preferably with a large health plan.
- Ability to influence leadership through clear presentation and communication of complex information.
- Possess proficient knowledge of ERM principles and methodologies.
- Strong organizational skills, problem resolution skills, project management skills, and the ability to adapt to a changing environment and work independently.
