Job Summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Client Aide to provide support and care to residents in our program. As a Client Aide, you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being and safety of our residents, providing guidance and support, and maintaining a clean and organized living environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional and compassionate care to residents, responding to their needs in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Monitor residents' rooms and common areas to ensure a safe and clean environment.
  • Explain rules and procedures to residents and ensure they adhere to program policies and procedures.
  • Complete intakes and update HMIS data as needed.
  • Document and report unusual occurrences, incidents, and injuries.
  • Assist Case Managers and Facility Services Aides in completing documentation and tracking residents upon discharge.
  • Answer and direct incoming calls to the appropriate individuals in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Monitor clients' medication and assist with kitchen duties as needed.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 60 units of education or equivalent work experience.
  • A valid Class C California Driver's License.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.
  • Ability to obtain annual TB test and complete other required Salvation Army training.
Working Conditions

The Client Aide will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring the ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis. The ability to operate a computer, fax, and telephone is also required. The Client Aide must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
