Clinical Research Associate I

Cedars-Sinai is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Associate I to join our team in the Butte Laboratory, Department of Neurosurgery. As a key member of our research team, you will play a crucial role in validating the clinical trial of groundbreaking medical imaging systems.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team involving optical engineers, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, biomedical engineers, as well as surgeons, pathologists, and other medical personnel. You will be involved in the development and possible commercialization of a novel medical device technology, with a focus on translational research in the field of bio-photonics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of clinical research protocols and procedures.
- Conduct research and gather data to support the validation of medical imaging systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and research objectives.
- Provide limited contact with research participants as needed for study purposes.
- Assist with regulatory submissions to the Institutional Review Board (IRB) and ensure compliance with local and federal guidelines.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of clinical trial budgets and patient research billing.
- Responsible for sample preparation and shipping, and maintenance of study supplies and kits.
- Maintain research practices using Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and ensure strict patient confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations and applicable law.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED, required.
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Sociology, or related degree, preferred.
- 1 year of experience with bench, clinical, or translational research projects, highly preferred.
