About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at BrightStar Care Charlotte. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping clients maintain their independence and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
* Assess functional activity demands against the performance ability of clients
* Identify and address deficits to improve clients' quality of life and independence
* Work cooperatively with physicians to develop treatment and care plans
* Assess home environments for fall risk and intervention
* Identify equipment needs and develop adaptive plans
Requirements
* Graduation from an occupational therapy program accredited by ACOTE
* Successful completion of supervised fieldwork experience
* State licensure in the state where care is provided
* Adherence to Occupational Therapy Code of Ethics
* One year of experience as an occupational therapist in the home environment

Supervision: The Occupational Therapist will work under the supervision of a Director of Nursing and in accordance with the policies and procedures of BrightStar Care Charlotte.

Adaptability: The Occupational Therapist will be required to adapt to changing client needs and circumstances, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn and grow.
Professionalism: The Occupational Therapist will maintain a professional demeanor at all times, demonstrating respect and courtesy to clients, staff, and other stakeholders.
Physical Demands: The Occupational Therapist will be required to perform physical tasks related to client care, including lifting, bending, and transferring.
Work Environment: The Occupational Therapist will work in a variety of settings, including clients' homes, healthcare facilities, and community-based locations.
Travel Requirements: The Occupational Therapist may be required to travel to clients' homes or other locations, utilizing personal transportation or company-provided vehicles.
On-Call Requirements: The Occupational Therapist may be required to work on-call shifts, providing coverage for clients and other team members.
Education and Training: The Occupational Therapist will be required to complete ongoing education and training to maintain licensure and certification.
