Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in providing home-based occupational therapy services to clients. As an Occupational Therapist at BrightStar Care Charlotte, you will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized treatment plans that promote functional independence and improve quality of life for our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of client needs and develop comprehensive treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Provide evidence-based occupational therapy interventions, including activities of daily living (ADL) training, adaptive equipment recommendations, and environmental modifications.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless coordination of care and effective communication.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Educate clients, family members, and caregivers on strategies for promoting functional independence and maintaining safety in the home environment.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and research in occupational therapy.

Requirements:

  • Master's or doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of practice.
  • Minimum one year of experience as an Occupational Therapist in a home health setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing treatment plans that address complex client needs.
