Job Overview

Carter Lumber is seeking a skilled and experienced Framing Field Supervisor to manage the framing process for single and multi-family homes. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our customers receive the highest quality of workmanship and that our projects are completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the framing process for single and multi-family homes, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of framing laborers, ensuring that they have the necessary tools and materials to complete their tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with other members of the construction team, including carpenters, electricians, and plumbers, to ensure that all aspects of the project are completed on time and to the required standard.
  • Develop and implement plans to improve efficiency and productivity, reducing waste and minimizing delays.
  • Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding promptly to customer inquiries and concerns, and ensuring that all customer needs are met.
Requirements
  • 3-4 years of experience in residential or light commercial construction, primarily in framing.
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand construction documents.
  • Strong knowledge of building materials, tools, and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of laborers.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and quality of work.
  • Knowledge of scheduling programs, such as Builder Trend, Build Pro, and Supply Pro.
