About This Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT professional to lead our technical team at New Mexico Gas Company. As a Manager, IT, you will be responsible for managing various information technology functions, including server, infrastructure, database administration, and project management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain a high level of awareness of current and future information technologies and IT best practices.
  • Provide leadership for the evaluation and recommendation of new technologies and improvements to internal IT business processes.
  • Assign projects, tasks, and support responsibilities to team members and guide them to optimum performance.
  • Coordinate and manage all client requests for development, personal computers, telephones, consulting, vendors, and contract review.
  • Participate in the preparation and management of department operating and capital budgets.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 8 years of experience in IT, or 12 years of experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
  • 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong experience in IT infrastructure, including server administration, network design, and support.
  • Knowledge of and experience working with cybersecurity standards and best practices.
  • Certifications in IT are a plus.
  • Experience creating and managing operational and strategic budget forecasts.
