Accounts Payable Specialist Job Description

Job Summary:

The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for maintaining the master vendor system, ensuring timely and accurate processing of supplier accounts payable related transactions and payments, building and managing business relationships with internal and external customers, and participating in key Accounts Payable projects and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise daily operations of the Accounts Payable function in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reviews supplier setup forms/submissions, sets up new suppliers, or changes existing suppliers in EET according to the Vendor Master Data SOP.
  • Ensures Supplier/Vendor invoices and payments are processed timely and accurately and in accordance with company policies.
  • Monitors/Resolves A/P aging reports.
  • Uploads invoices and codes invoices on a daily basis.
  • Analyzes reporting data to identify and implement streamlined processes, best practices, and internal controls for the AP function.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience with strong tenure.
  • Ability to multitask, work efficiently, set priorities, and manage deadlines in a changing environment.
  • Strong organizational and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in Excel.
  • Proven team-building experience with an upbeat and positive attitude.
  • ERP experience required.

Compensation is determined by several factors, including skillset, experience level, and geographic location. The expected range for this role is $50,000 to $62,000 per year DOE.
