About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate individual to work in our busy body shop, assisting Service Advisors in assessing damage to vehicles and making cosmetic repairs. As a Body Repair Specialist, you will be responsible for restoring damaged metal frames and body sections to their original specifications, using a variety of hand and power tools, including a welder, soldering equipment, cutting torch, and sanders. You will also be responsible for filing, grinding, and sanding repaired surfaces to ensure a high-quality finish.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist Service Advisors in assessing damage to vehicles and making cosmetic repairs.
  • Restore damaged metal frames and body sections to their original specifications.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, including a welder, soldering equipment, cutting torch, and sanders.
  • File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces to ensure a high-quality finish.
  • Aim headlamps and repair or replace defective parts.
  • Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Comply with all Classic Collision safety rules, guidelines, and standards.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-4 years of body shop experience strongly preferred.
  • Effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to work in a high-performance, fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability to adapt to and work effectively within a constantly changing environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills required.

As a Body Repair Specialist at Classic Collision Inc, you will enjoy a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $180,000 based on experience, as well as opportunities for advancement and professional growth. Physical Demands and Work Environment:

The Body Repair Specialist role requires frequent standing, walking, and use of hands and fingers, as well as occasional sitting. You will also be required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, or crawl, and to lift/push weights up to 50 pounds. You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a focus on providing high-quality repairs and excellent customer service.
