Position Overview

This role is a full-time opportunity with Launch Finance, a dynamic SaaS organization supported by leading venture capitalists in Silicon Valley. We are in search of a seasoned Financial Controller to oversee all facets of the accounting department within this expanding enterprise. Extensive experience in the SaaS sector is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all accounting functions including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and Revenue Recognition.
  • Lead the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, and analyze variances.
  • Generate and distribute timely monthly financial reports.
  • Investigate technical accounting matters to ensure compliance.
  • Facilitate the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Guarantee quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
  • Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax obligations.
  • Establish and document business processes and accounting policies to enhance internal controls.
  • Perform additional controller-related tasks as required.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years of cumulative experience in accounting and finance.
  • Solid understanding of SaaS metrics.
  • Practical experience with Intacct and Salesforce platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience in a Controller role.
  • Advanced degree in Accounting is preferred.
  • CPA or CMA certification is advantageous.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience in preparing financial statements.
  • Familiarity with general ledger operations and the month-end/year-end closing process.
  • Proficient in accounting software usage and administration.

Salary Range: The compensation offered to candidates will be based on various factors including qualifications, experience, skills, and geographic considerations.

Range: $160,000 - $200,000
