At ACIST Medical Systems, we are seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing inspections and testing associated with goods receipt, manufacturing, and service product release. This includes First Part Review and Component Qualification activities.

The Quality Assurance Technician will use inspection systems, measurement methods, and documented processes to ensure the output of quality products. The primary focus of this role is on components and finished goods product release for medical device capital equipment manufacturing and service.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical inspection and testing of electrical and mechanical components and systems. They will also possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills, as well as problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret drawings, schematics, and specifications.

Responsibilities will include completing product release inspections, using established standard operating procedures (SOP's) and work instructions (WI's) to carry out receiving inspections and product release activities. The candidate will also identify and use the appropriate equipment and tools to achieve accurate dimensional measurements of parts to be inspected.

Additionally, the Quality Assurance Technician will identify product quality issues originating from receiving inspection and product release inspections and issue Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMR). They will also communicate issues and opportunities to the engineering department to ensure bill of materials (BOM's), prints, process, forms, records, etc. are relevant and up to date.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements include a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent, 2-year technical degree, or 3+ years of experience in lieu of degree. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years' experience in a manufacturing environment performing mechanical inspection and testing of electrical and mechanical components and systems.

Preferred qualifications include an AA or certificate in a technical trade, 4+ years of experience in a variety of manufacturing environments, and experience using ERP systems, particularly SAP.
