Quality Assurance Technician (HACCP/GMP - Premium Night Shift) ??

Pave Talent is hiring on behalf of our client, a well-established food manufacturing company specializing in premium bakery products. An exciting opportunity exists for a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join their team on the third shift.

The Opportunity ??

As a Quality Assurance Technician working third shift (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM), you'll play a crucial role in maintaining product quality and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity for both experienced professionals and science graduates looking to start their careers in food safety.

Key Responsibilities ??

  • Conduct verifications of manufacturing processes
  • Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards
  • Implement HACCP protocols and food safety guidelines
  • Monitor and inspect products to verify specifications
  • Conduct audits and verifications of Critical Control Points
  • Assist in training the workforce on food quality and safety issues
  • Maintain documentation and analyze quality trends
  • Support continuous improvement through Standard Operating Procedures
  • Monitor and maintain general cleanliness throughout the facility

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
  • Physical capability to:
  • Lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
  • Stand for 8+ hours
  • Move throughout all areas of the plant
  • Ability to read, comprehend and implement safety procedures
  • Strong computer and document management skills
  • Willingness to work third shift schedule

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in food manufacturing or pharmaceutical quality assurance
  • Understanding of HACCP/HARPC systems
  • Knowledge of GFSI standards
  • PCQI or SQF Practitioner certification
  • Experience with quality management systems
  • Background in science or related field

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting salary ranges from $25 to $29 per hour, depending on experience
  • $1.00/hour night shift differential
