Job Description

At Iron Site, we are seeking a highly skilled Service Technician to join our team. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while performing on-site diagnostic, troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance on a variety of gate and door systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a positive, collaborative, and informative customer service experience to both residential and commercial customers.
  • Diagnose the nature of the issue triggering the service call and confirm authorization to perform the repair.
  • Perform all necessary preventative and corrective maintenance, including welding, wiring, and programming customer equipment as required.
  • Ensure all workplace health and safety requirements are met and maintain housekeeping and security of customer locations and job sites.
  • Document the scope of work completed and identify any other malfunctioning customer equipment or opportunities for additional work.

Requirements:

  • Education and/or experience equivalent to a High School diploma and 3 or more years working with gate operators, electronic controls, or other low-voltage electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with basic welding principles and at least 2 years of field service-related experience working on-site at customer locations and interacting with customers.
  • OSHA 10-Hour Certification preferred.

Work Environment:

The physical environment for this position includes construction sites, warehouses, and outdoor customer locations. Frequently required to use and promote use of personal protective equipment to prevent injury.

Travel Required:

Frequent day travel to and from job sites, vendor locations, and offices.
